[제약/법무] Legal Counsel

A global healthcare company is looking for a Legal Counsel. The selected applicant will be responsible for providing legal support across commercial contracting, regulatory advisory, risk management, and business partnering.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the review, drafting, and negotiation of a wide range of commercial agreements, including customer, vendor, and partnership contracts
• Provide practical legal guidance on contract structuring, risk allocation, and negotiation strategy
• Ensure that contractual arrangements appropriately balance legal risk with commercial objectives
• Monitor and interpret relevant laws, regulations, and policy developments affecting the business
• Assess the impact of regulatory changes on products, services, and operations, and provide actionable legal recommendations
• Identify legal and regulatory risks in business initiatives and propose pragmatic mitigation strategies
• Act as a legal partner to business functions, providing timely and business-oriented advice to support decision-making
• Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including HR, Finance, and Operations, to enable compliant and effective execution of business initiatives
• Translate complex legal concepts into clear and practical guidance for non-legal stakeholders
• Support the management of disputes, claims, and regulatory inquiries, including coordination with external counsel where necessary
• Assist in developing legal strategies, assessing risk exposure, and preparing internal stakeholders for potential disputes or investigations
• Contribute to the development and improvement of internal legal processes, templates, and guidelines
• Support legal-related training and awareness initiatives within the organisation as needed
• Act as the key legal liaison between the Korea office and the APAC Regional Office
• Localise global legal positions and advise on their applicability in Korea

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in law or equivalent legal education required to qualify for the bar admission
• Qualified lawyer in Korea or a foreign jurisdiction
• 5-7 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm or in-house legal team
• Experience in reviewing and advising on commercial contracts and general corporate matters
• Strong experience in corporate and commercial law, including contract review and legal advisory
• Proven experience in legal and regulatory analysis supporting business decision-making
• Experience managing external counsel and handling disputes or regulatory matters
• Experience working with global or regional headquarters
• Strong knowledge of Korean laws and regulations relevant to corporate, commercial, and consumer protection matters
• Deep understanding of the Korean regulatory environment and enforcement practices affecting business operations
• Licensed attorney in Korea or a foreign jurisdiction
• Proficient in English

Preferred Requirements:

• Exposure to regulatory analysis or legal risk assessment
• Experience working closely with business stakeholders and providing practical legal advice
• Compliance, risk management, or data privacy-related certifications
