A multinational autonomous vehicle technology company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specialising in autonomy and robotics. The selected candidate will design and develop software for unmanned aerial vehicle autonomy stacks while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain software for autonomy stacks of unmanned aerial vehicles
  • Collaborate daily with USA and cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions
  • Integrate software with hardware components for seamless operation in robotic systems
  • Apply AI/ML techniques to improve autonomous decision-making, perception, and navigation
  • Work with hardware/sensor system models to ensure accurate software integration and performance
  • Engage with customers in autonomy and defence domains through meetings and presentations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • More than 5 years of professional software engineering experience
  • Practical experience with hardware/sensor system modelling for autonomous systems
  • Experience in the aerial domain or unmanned vehicle autonomy stack development is a plus
  • Proficient in AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch for autonomous applications
  • Strong system engineering skills with software development experience for hardware-integrated systems
  • Proficient in programming languages including Python and C++
  • Expertise in computer vision techniques and tools (e.g., OpenCV, image processing, object detection) is ideal
  • Knowledge of reinforcement learning and applications in autonomous systems is desired
  • Proficient in written and verbal English
