[리테일/사업개발] Market Development Manager
A Market Development Manager role is now open in a global spirit producer. The selected applicant will lead market execution, distributor management, and customer growth to expand brand presence and drive sales across key trade channels.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor market trends and develop actionable insights based on consumer, customer, and category trends
- Work closely with the commercial lead and distributors to execute the convenience store strategy for South Korea (e.g., GS25, CU, 7-Eleven, E-Mart)
- Proactively identify potential outlets and ensure in-store execution of the company’s brands
- Build, manage, and follow up on customer relationships independently
- Manage distributors and merchandisers to scale strategy execution and establish perfect store standards
- Conduct training for distributor sales teams on merchandising standards and rollout programs in trade
- Create and analyse reporting (volume, rate of sale, distribution points) and track KPIs, providing suggestions to improve business
- Conduct external business meetings and track on-ground execution in HORECA and modern trade segments
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- More than 4 years of sales experience (spirits, beer, or soft drinks industry in South Korea is preferred)
- More than 2 years of experience in developing business for spirits, beer, ready-to-drink, or energy drinks categories in the convenience (CVS) channel
- Experience in generating new listings
- Experience in crafting a joint business plan with key chain accounts
- Proficient in MS Office
- Established a network of contacts in South Korea for convenience and wholesale
channels - Strong negotiation skills and understanding of trading term agreements with convenience channels
- HORECA channels connection and experience is a plus
- Ability and willingness to travel
- Fluent level Korean; proficient in English
