[리테일/법률] Legal Counsel

A multinational clothing brand is looking for a Legal Counsel. The chosen applicant will be in charge of a variety of legal matters, including lease/tenancy agreements, dispute resolution, and online/digital projects.

Responsibilities:

• Review, draft and negotiate lease/tenancy agreements for stores, including legal documents related to construction and facilities, from a pro-business perspective with minimal risk exposure
• Proactively advise on legal issues/disputes related to expansion and consolidation, and draft responses and letters in relation to contentious matters
• Provide support on marketplace and partnership opportunities for online/digital projects
• Assist the Regional Head of Legal & PA in providing overall legal support for projects, disputes, and strategic initiatives
• Liaise with and support external counsel engagements in relation to dispute resolution
• Assist in research and analysis on legal issues with cross-border elements in business/ consumer laws and other laws relevant to the industry

Requirements:

• 5-8 years of law firm and in-house legal experience in Korea; called to the Bar in Korea
• Experience with an international law firm or a multi-national corporation is highly preferred
• Experience with a retail environment and leasing is a plus
• Strong communication skills with various audiences about the business and legal priorities in a multi-cultural and multi-level environment
• Fluent level Korean; business level English
