A foreign industrial conglomerate is looking for a Certification Manager. The chosen applicant will manage the full certification process, including researching regulations and securing international certifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead registration of ductile iron (DI) pipes in new countries by researching local regulations and engaging with government and utility stakeholders.
  • Secure and maintain international certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, AWWA C151, EN 545) for compliance and market entry.
  • Coordinate internal and external lab testing to meet market-specific technical standards (pressure, corrosion, tensile strength).
  • Compile and review technical documentation, including material specs, hydraulic data, and coating performance results.
  • Maintain a centralised database of global certification requirements and renewal timelines
  • Serve as the main liaison with certifying bodies, industry associations, and local partners
  • Train internal teams on certification processes to support sales and engineering efforts
  • Advise leadership on certification costs, timelines, and resolve standardisation conflicts to support global market expansion

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering (civil, mechanical, materials science) or related field
  • More than 5 years of experience in certification management (for water infrastructure or piping products is preferred)
  • Proven track record of registering products in GCC, EU, Americas, or Asia
  • Familiarity with DI pipe standards (AWWA, ISO 2531, EN 598)
  • Understanding of corrosion protection methods (zinc coating, polywrap)
  • Strong project management skills (certification timelines, budgets)
  • Fluent level English; additional languages (Arabic, Spanish) are a plus
