A foreign video game company is seeking an ER Specialist. The selected applicant will be responsible for handling employee relations, ensuring compliance with labour laws and company policies, and supporting investigations and engagement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Activision’s Ethics & Compliance and Legal teams to resolve conflicts and execute solutions on compliance and employee relations topics while providing advice on local policies and processes
  • Implement employee relations plans and ensure all offices align with labour relations principles and comply with local policies, procedures, and laws
  • Develop and facilitate mandatory employee relations and compliance training to minimise risk and strengthen ER capabilities
  • Organise and follow up on local LMC and employee representative processes
  • Monitor internal and external labour issues in advance that may have a significant organisational impact
  • Support HR Business Partners in preventing employee relations risks and contribute to employee engagement initiatives
  • Conduct investigations on sensitive workplace issues and employee relations matters, including disciplinary action processes
  • Recommend policy changes and enhancements based on investigation outcomes and observed trends
  • Manage and implement employee award programs to strengthen engagement
  • Provide proactive support during organisational changes to promote a positive work environment and ensure smooth transitions
  • Manage ER-related contracts and oversee service term operations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • More than 3 combined years of directly applicable Employee Relations and HR experience, including prior experience handling sensitive Employee Relations issues, grievances, and providing strategic, resolution-based advice and guidance, as well as HR Generalist tasks
  • Broad knowledge of the APAC region (including but not limited to Korea, Japan and Australia) employment laws and regulations and the ability to appropriately spot employment risks and issues
  • Experience working with Works Councils
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities as well as planning, organisation, and time management skills
  • Fluent level written and verbal Korean and English

Preferred Requirements:

  • Ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the organisation, including remote areas
  • Proficient in Japanese
