A trade and investment promotion organisation is looking for a Schools Education Services Manager. The chosen applicant will deliver school education initiatives, supporting student recruitment, stakeholder engagement, and execution of programs, events, and communications to meet education objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute projects that support the advancement of school-related education objectives in the market
  • Proactively manage all project aspects, including scope, deliverables, risks and issues, as required to deliver programs or projects on time and on budget, including end-to-end event management for in-person and virtual events to engage prospective and alumni international students, their parents and education agents
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including other Education Services Managers, education agents, in-country government departments and school-sector stakeholders across Korea, collaborating closely with the broader North Asia Education team to deliver a coordinated regional approach
  • Communicate school-related opportunities to sector stakeholders
  • Provide facilitation services to internal and external stakeholder groups to resolve issues of urgent and immediate importance, including critical incidents involving international students and their families in Korea
  • Support coordination of virtual and in-person delegations (inbound and outbound) for Ministers and senior government officers, including the development of high-quality briefs and reports, provision of advice, and on-the-ground support and coordination
  • Implement marketing and communications activities such as international student recruitment events and prepare associated marketing plans and briefings
  • Provide market insights for the sector via reports and briefings
  • Provide training and education for accredited education agents

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated representation and stakeholder management experience, and proven ability to undertake strategic planning and implementation as part of a cross-cultural team
  • Extensive knowledge of the cultural, economic and political environments which impact on school education in Korea, and a sound understanding of school education in Australia
  • Proven ability to develop and lead complex programs, organise itineraries, events, and participate in education fairs, and demonstrable understanding of monitoring and evaluation processes
  • Demonstrated experience in, and understanding of, business development and project management, including the ability to maximise opportunities to promote education offshore
  • Sound interpersonal, communication skills and well-established networks with the ability to present and influence outcomes related to school education, as well as the ability to prepare high-level reports and business strategies
  • An understanding, or willingness to learn, about the student experience journey of international students enrolled in the ISP, including the ability to support the management of critical incidents
  • Experience in marketing and promotion, including delivering and participating in promotional events and the ability to maximise opportunities to promote education offshore
  • Fluent level Korean and English

Preferred Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification from a recognised institute
  • Experience in a business development or education role
  • Excellent understanding of the Australian environment, in particular experience working in Australia or with Australian-based organisations
