A global apparel company is looking for a General Manager. The selected candidate will lead the overall business, owning full P&L accountability and driving sustainable growth aligned with APAC objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the full P&L for Korea, driving sustainable, profitable growth in line with APAC regional objectives
  • Develop and execute a long-term roadmap to scale the business, balancing brand equity with commercial performance
  • Identify new revenue streams while optimising existing channels
  • Strengthen the company’s retail footprint in Korea with a focus on premium brand presentation and localised consumer journey
  • Maintain in-store experiences, visual merchandising, and service standards to reflect the company’s heritage and streetwear credibility
  • Drive growth across key local marketplaces
  • Lead the development of the company’s brand.com presence in Korea, ensuring seamless UX, localised content, and strong conversion
  • Balance marketplace and DTC strategies to maximise reach, profitability, and brand control
  • Lead product and merchandising strategy in collaboration with global and regional teams, aligning global brand direction with Korean market trends
  • Elevate the branded collection and expand across apparel, accessories, and collaborations
  • Continue development of trend-driven drops and capsules
  • Define product positioning and distribution strategy in the Korean market
  • Execute market deployment aligned with strategic direction and financial targets
  • Strengthen existing license partnerships, ensuring operational excellence and brand alignment
  • Explore new licensing opportunities in adjacent categories aligned with brand equity and consumer demand
  • Work closely with APAC leadership to build a cohesive regional brand presence
  • Leverage shared Asia resources and share Korea market insights, trends, and performance with regional and global teams
  • Act as a brand-first, business-driven leader with a strong understanding of streetwear, sports, and youth culture in Korea

Requirements:

  • More than 12 years of progressive leadership experience in apparel, footwear, accessories, or lifestyle brands
  • Proven track record in the Korean market (exposure to both global brand frameworks and local nuances is ideal)
  • Direct experience managing retail, e-commerce (marketplace + DTC), and product development
  • Strong P&L management and commercial acumen
  • Deep understanding of the Korean digital commerce landscape (Coupang, Musinsa, Naver, Kakao ecosystem)
  • Passionate about consumer experience and cultural relevance
  • Fluent written and verbal Korean and English
