A multinational consumer goods company is looking for a Commercial Director. The chosen applicant will lead commercial strategy and execution to drive revenue growth, profitability, and brand building through planning, partnerships, and team development.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a yearly Commercial Plan in alignment with the Integrated Activity Planning and overall company direction
  • Define mid- to long-term Commercial strategies, including channel strategies, in line with the company’s strategic priorities
  • Drive Commercial strategies to maximise profitability, with a strong focus on Revenue Growth Management and sustainable brand building over the long term
  • Achieve or exceed annual targets across volume, value, distribution, and market share in On-Trade, Off-Trade, and D-Comm channels
  • Develop and implement effective annual channel promotion and activation plans, and continuously improve promotion effectiveness and hit rate
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing and Regional stakeholders to ensure excellence in the execution of Commercial initiatives
  • Strengthen organisational Sales capabilities through structured training programs, adoption of new tools/solutions, and continuous improvement of existing practices
  • Improve sales forecasting accuracy through structured planning, analysis of past performance and activities, and timely execution based on the annual promotion and activation calendar
  • Work closely with Supply Chain, Marketing, and Finance through the Sales & Operations Planning process to ensure accurate forecasting and seamless business operations
  • Build and strengthen strategic relationships with key customers, including buyers, wholesalers, and other relevant stakeholders, to establish long-term, win-win business partnerships
  • Manage the Commercial budget (including Discounts and Trade A&P) effectively to achieve business objectives and maximise ROI
  • Conduct regular Measurement & Evaluation to ensure the budget is allocated and utilised effectively and responsibly
  • Develop and coach talents to build a strong leadership pipeline and succession plan within the Commercial organisation
  • Lead regular Sales training and coaching initiatives to enhance the functional and leadership capabilities of the On/Off-Trade teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and above
  • More than 15 years of commercial experience in the consumer goods (FMCG) or beverage industry
  • More than 5 years of leadership or people management experience
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in both On-Trade and Off-Trade environments
  • Ability to translate customer and consumer insights into actionable commercial strategies and plans
  • Strong strategic thinking supported by solid sales analysis and planning capabilities
  • Fluent level written and verbal English

Preferred Requirements:

  • Strong experience in Modern On-Trade, Off-Trade Key Account Management, and Trade Marketing
  • Experience in the alcoholic beverage industry
