[보험/언더라이터] Production Underwriter

An international insurance company is looking for a Production Underwriter. The chosen candidate will manage a profitable book of business and build strong broker and customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Promote and market essential products and loss prevention engineering services to a network of brokers to support a steady stream of desirable new business opportunities and a stable portfolio of existing customers
• Develop, maintain, and grow a profitable book of business by evaluating risk acceptability through analysis of broker submissions
• Collaborate with account engineering to complete account risk assessments, determine the nature and level of loss prevention activity needed, and identify and quantify risk improvement priorities
• Negotiate final account coverage, pricing, terms, and conditions while recognising market conditions and meeting customer needs and expectations in a cost-efficient manner
• Maintain regular contact with brokers and clients throughout the policy term to monitor and manage changes in the customer’s business and exposures
• Provide excellent and responsive service to brokers and customers by leveraging company strengths as a competitive differentiator in the marketplace
• Ensure submissions, proposals, policies, billing, and requests for midterm changes are handled expeditiously, with accurate and timely documentation
• Provide professional advice and consultation on insurance coverage and risk management matters to determine customised coverage and underwriting solutions
• Take a lead role in working with other members of the Account Team to coordinate and deliver products and services efficiently
• Coordinate account team resources to provide excellent and responsive service that adds value to broker and customer relationships
• Research and recommend the appointment of new brokers and establish multiple business contacts with appointed producers to maximise opportunities and maintain long-term relationships

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering, business, or finance
• More than 8 years of commercial underwriting or broker experience with exposure to middle market property accounts of varying occupancies and sizes
• Knowledge of our business including an understanding of risk identification and assessment, property insurance coverage, forms, financial statements, and business computer applications
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient in written and verbal English

Preferred Requirements:

• Engineering background
• Insurance or risk management certification
