[항공/회계] Lead Accountant (Contract)

A global airline company is searching for a Lead Accountant. The selected applicant will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end payroll processing and related accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance with statutory requirements, and timely reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Process periodic payrolls; ensuring payroll is processed accurately, timely and in compliance with all country-specific statutory requirements and appropriate taxes and benefit withholdings are made
• Record payroll taxes and employee benefits in the general ledger and financial statements
• Interact with managers to answer payroll and related questions; provide training/guidance as necessary
• Oversee disbursement processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing in compliance with company policy and legal requirements
• Monitor cash account balances for each country
• Oversee account analysis, reconciliations, and preparation of journal entries to the general ledger
• Manage preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings, payments, and supporting schedules
• Maintain tax calendar to ensure all filings/payments are made timely to avoid fines and penalties are not incurred
• Supervise day-to-day maintenance and projects associated with those areas of responsibility
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls to reduce risk of fraud and ensure strong internal controls over financial reporting that are in alignment with local laws and regulations and the Company’s policies and US regulations (such as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Sarbanes Oxley, PCI & PII)
• Stay abreast of regulatory labour and tax changes and work with peers to incorporate them into schedules, reports, and monthly procedures
• Provide technical direction and training to internal customers as necessary
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation efforts, working with internal customers and external suppliers to achieve results

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting
• More than 3 years of experience in the related field
• Experience with international business practices, tax and labour laws
• Proficient with PC and MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint)
• Demonstrated excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
• Fluent level written and verbal Korean and English

Preferred Requirements:

• CPA, ACCA, AAT or equivalent education/certification
• Demonstrated knowledge of airline accounting practices
• Demonstrated knowledge of SAP
• Ability to speak additional languages relevant to the countries of responsibility
