"Robert Walters discovered potential in my career journey"

I work in a highly specialized field within healthcare, focusing on software for medical imaging AI, particularly within medical devices. I have been responsible for business development for the last five years in a company that started from humble beginnings as a startup and became a global top-tier company. When Robert Walters first got in touch with me, I actually wasn’t intending to change jobs, but after hearing their on-point insights and hiring trends which explore the state of the industry, I was keen to keep in touch with them.

About a year later, Robert Walters Korea’s consultant Seung-joo approached me with an opportunity to become the Business Development Manager at Promedius. At the time, I was only interested in changing roles for a chance at career growth and mentioned I would consider a C-level position.

I had built up a wide array of experience, from business model construction to IPO facilitation, with the world's leading company in the same industry and had learned a lot through trial and error along the way. Working at Promedius seemed the ideal chance for me to grow to my full potential, if I could gain more decision-making power. I therefore shared my experience I had build up and vision in detail to Robert Walters.

It's not easy for a close-knit, family-like startup's founding members and management inner circle to welcome a new member. In this process, Seung-joo's negotiating skills and smooth communication stood out, and I am extremely grateful for all of his help during the process.

It's been five months since I joined Promedius, and there have been significant changes. We've established a finely-tuned business strategy and direction, and we're in the closing stages of an investment round. This success is a result of the perfect alignment between the applicant and the position. Thanks to this, we are now reaping impressive outcomes, and both Seung-joo and I feel enormous pride.
