[의료기기/법률] Legal & Compliance Manager

A foreign medical device company is looking for a Legal & Compliance Manager. The selected applicant will provide legal and compliance leadership to support business objectives, manage risk, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and support to business functions locally and across APAC
  • Review, draft, and negotiate contracts and agreements related to the company’s business
  • Advise on legal and regulatory changes, including healthcare and medical device regulations, and support implementation
  • Manage disputes, litigation, government investigations, and adverse events
  • Support intellectual property protection and enforcement
  • Supervise external counsel, legal budgets, and ensure compliance with legal policies and procedures
  • Implement and maintain an effective compliance program in partnership with Ethics & Compliance leadership
  • Promote a strong corporate governance and ethics culture across the organisation
  • Develop and update country-specific compliance policies, procedures, and codes of conduct
  • Conduct compliance trainings, onboarding, and maintain training records
  • Perform monitoring, testing, and internal investigations, and support remediation actions
  • Oversee third-party due diligence, data privacy, transparency compliance, and support external audits

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • More than 3 years of private practice or in-house experience
  • Compliance or legal experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industry
  • In-depth understanding of regulations related to licensing, import, distribution, and marketing of medical devices
  • General understanding of competition laws, anti-bribery laws, labour laws, privacy laws, e-commerce laws, advertisement laws
  • Good understanding of the Korean compliance requirements for the healthcare industry
  • Korean Bar Association qualification
  • Native level Korean; fluent level English

Preferred Requirements:

  • Master’s degree
  • More than 2 years of experience gained within a compliance or auditing function
  • Experience in law firms
  • Experience dealing with government authorities and litigation
