A Finance Manager role is now open in a multinational chemical manufacturer. The selected applicant will be responsible for leading the local finance function, ensuring accurate accounting, compliance, reporting, planning, treasury, and internal controls.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and review the organisational layout and composition of local finance teams; supervise changes in accordance with local GM and Corporate Controlling
  • Define job profiles and tasks for finance/accounting positions, manage recruitment of new hires in line with Group policies, and ensure professional standards are met
  • Define finance team priorities and yearly performance targets with local management and assess achievement in line with Group guidelines
  • Liaise and communicate with local and HQ management to ensure smooth flow of information and escalation of risks or concerns
  • Deploy Company guidelines and priorities agreed with HQ Corporate Controlling, and monitor the level of achievement
  • Supervise financial records to ensure accuracy and integrity of P&L and Balance Sheet in compliance with Group accounting principles and local rules
  • Ensure statutory, tax, and transfer pricing compliance of the Company
  • Liaise with external auditors and ensure completion of year-end audit procedures and Group consolidation package within deadlines
  • Ensure proper application of Group and local accounting policies across the business
  • Ensure full utilisation of ERP accounting systems and procedures in line with HQ requirements
  • Review and deliver timely, accurate, and business-focused financial reports to support management decision-making
  • Review management accounts, investigate variances versus budget and prior year, and identify improvement areas
  • Ensure control over company spending, cash flow optimisation, and working capital efficiency
  • Ensure period-end closing processes are fully consistent and in line with Group guidelines
  • Lead annual budgeting and monthly/quarterly forecasting processes and provide finance input to local management
  • Supervise credit management and receivables collection to minimise risk and optimise cash flow
  • Manage treasury operations, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and banking arrangements
  • Strengthen internal controls and ensure safeguarding of Group assets while identifying and mitigating financial risks

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting or Finance (MBA is a plus)
  • More than 10 years of experience in a similar position at a manufacturing company (multinational environment is preferred)
  • Proficient in MS Excel and other ERP systems
  • Solid background in accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, tax and internal controls,
    treasury management
  • Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in written and verbal English
