[IT/엔지니어] Backend Engineer

An AI technology company is searching for a Backend Engineer. The chosen applicant will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining reliable backend systems that power agentic workflows and retrieval-based applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain robust agentic workflows that can plan tasks, call tools and APIs, and execute multi-step jobs reliably
• Own long-context behaviour across workflows, including summarisation, context packing, source selection, and memory or state strategies
• Build and improve retrieval systems end-to-end, covering data sourcing, scraping or ingestion, storage, embedding and indexing, retrieval quality, and multi-source fusion
• Implement reliability and quality mechanisms such as guardrails, fallback strategies, observability, and regression testing to ensure predictable production behaviour
• Define evaluation metrics and testing protocols for workflows, including success criteria, correctness, and latency or cost trade-offs
• Analyse failures, document findings, and communicate recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Iterate quickly by prototyping improvements, shipping changes, measuring results, and refining solutions

Requirements:

• Strong experience building GenAI product workflows (LLMs, retrieval, tool usage, agents)
• Practical experience integrating APIs and working across multiple data sources/systems
• Solid backend engineering skills, including the ability to implement ideas from scratch
  (Python is preferred)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  

Preferred Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, AI/ML, or related fields
• Experience in healthcare, biotech, and pharma-related problems
• Published research or active contributions to open-source AI/ML communities
• Start-up experience
