An automotive supply company is in need of a Product Development Engineer. This position will be responsible for design and engineering activities for assigned products as well as maintaining communication with customers.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding product design and engineering issues for assigned products
• Ensure products achieve optimal performance within the constraints of manufacturing processes and materials
• Summarize technical inputs for pre-sales and development costing
• Manage product related documents
• Support prototype, production vehicle, and product launch events as needed
• Support sub-supplier approvals from a technical perspective
• Make part designs and modifications according to OEM’s requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in materials, engineering, or another relevant field
• 5+ years in a Product Development Engineer position for a tier-1 automotive supplier
• Proficiency in 3D and 2D engineering design software
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Good communication proficiency in English
