An international financial services organisation is searching for a Compliance Officer. The candidate selected will be responsible for ensure the firm’s compliance with significant regulations in Korea. This role is based in Seoul.
Responsibilities:
- Foster a compliance culture
- Maintain knowledge of regulatory developments and best practices
- Perform trade surveillance on a regular basis
- Liaise with global and regional colleagues to create business strategies and projects
- Monitor regulatory updates
- Analyse the efficiency of compliance controls and deploy suitable action plans as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in finance, business, law, or a similar domain
- More that 5 years of compliance experience in a financial services company (or 3 years if the candidate possesses a valid KICPA or attorney qualification)
- Expertise in local financial market laws and KRX rules
- MS Office competency
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of proprietary trading and market making business models is preferred
