[미디어/법률] Senior Legal Counsel

An international entertainment firm is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel. The selected applicant will be negotiating affiliate sales representation contracts, reviewing programme acquisition agreements, and other related duties.

Responsibilities:

• Negotiate affiliate sales representation contracts and channel carriage agreements
• Review program acquisition agreements for third-party content
• Counsel on agreements for the sale of advertising airtime on branded channels
• Prepare and negotiate program production agreements for original content
• Review marketing contracts and ensure compliance of marketing campaigns with locally applicable laws
• Advise on regulatory matters and develop legal processes to enforce compliance
• Negotiate technical operations contracts, including playout, language, IT, and associated infrastructure
• Negotiate program sales agreements for distribution of US content on linear channels and digital platforms in Korea and China

Requirements:

• More than 8 years of experience (5 of which are post-qualification) in a top-tier TMT law firm or a TMT company (media environment in the field of television or digital media production and licensing is preferred).
• Extensive experience negotiating and advising on IP, licensing, and general commercial matters
• Experience negotiating contracts autonomously
• Experience in domestic and international content licensing, linear and on-demand rights and distribution, and applicable regulatory matters is highly advantageous
• Legal qualifications applicable in the country of qualification, preferably Korea
• Bilingual level written and verbal Korean and English
